Western Illinois freshman Chloe Routier has qualified to participate in the International Tennis Association Conference Masters Championships, following a successful debut season. The tournament is scheduled from November 7 to November 10 at Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia.

The 2024 ITA Conference Masters Championship will feature a draw of 32 singles players and 32 doubles teams for each gender. Four players from this event will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship as semifinalists, while three doubles teams will secure spots in the NCAA Doubles Championship as champion, finalist, and third place.

Each NCAA AQ-eligible Division I conference designated one singles player and one doubles team per gender to participate. Selection can occur through a conference tournament by October 27, 2024, or an alternate process set by the conference office and its members.

Routier secured her place based on a points system adopted by the league that considered performances during the Spring and Fall of 2024. She won the No. 3 singles title at the OVC Individual Tournament in September and recorded a 3-1 score in other fall singles matches.

Routier's first match is against Anna Neyestani from Fairfield University on Thursday.
