The Western Illinois baseball team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. The Leathernecks will begin with a challenging start, playing 13 of their first 15 games on the road. Their initial games include trips to Mississippi Valley State from February 14-16 and New Mexico State from February 21-23. They will also visit Alabama State from February 28 to March 2.

The team's home opener at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium is set for March 4 against Northwest Missouri State, followed by a game against Simpson College on March 5. A notable matchup against the University of Illinois is scheduled for March 11 in Champaign.

Western Illinois will face Illinois State in a home-and-home series from March 13-16, starting with two home games. Their first Ohio Valley Conference series will take place in Macomb when they host Southern Indiana from March 21-23.

Following this, the Leathernecks have an away series at SEMO from March 28-30 and a midweek game at the University of Saint Louis on April 1. They return home to play Tennessee Tech from April 4-6 before traveling to UT Martin (April 11-13) and Little Rock (April 17-19). Another power five game is scheduled against the University of Iowa on April 22 in Iowa City.

The season's conclusion appears favorable with four consecutive home games at the end of April, including three against Lindenwood (April 25-27) and one versus Bradley on April 30. In May, WIU remains in Illinois, visiting SIUE (May 2-4), hosting Morehead State (May 9-11), and facing Saint Louis on May 13 before ending the season at EIU (May 15-17).
