Pike County residents rank 58th in total sales taxes paid in Illinois for October 2024

Pike County taxpayers ranked 58th in total sales taxes paid per county in October 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Pike County residents paid $260,234 in sales taxes during October 2024.

Pike County ranked 61st in the Prairie State the month before, with $227,655 spent in sales taxes.

The County School Facility Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Pike County residents in October 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
