A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the Carrollton Community Unit School District 1 on January 28, 2025. The request was made by the West Central Reporter, a media organization dedicated to delivering comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
The FOIA request specifically sought copies of all emails and memos from the past year that contain the keywords "Lucy Calkins" and "Units of Study". The West Central Reporter expressed their intention to use these records in their ongoing efforts to provide transparency to the public and hold public institutions accountable.
