City of Greenville Planning Commission met Jan. 27.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

Chairman Jack Chism called the Planning Commission meeting to order on January 27, 2025 at 6:00 PM.

1. ROLL CALL    

Committee Members Present: 

 Planning Commission Member Brent Shaw, Planning Commission Member Chance Vohlken, Planning Commission Member Eugene Holt, Planning Commission Member Jack Chism, Planning Commission Member Jo Keillor, and Planning Commission Member Nate Wieland

Committee Members Absent: 

 Planning Commission Scott Darnell  

Staff Present: Code Enforcement Officer Jeff Ketten, City Clerk Jody Weiss Public Present: Duane & Melanie House

4. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES:  

4.1. Previous meeting minutes. 

Motion by Chance Vohlken, seconded by Brent Shaw, to approve the August 26, 2024 Planning Commission Minutes. 

RESULT: Carried MOVER: Chance Vohlken SECONDER: Brent Shaw AYES: Brent Shaw, Chance Vohlken, Eugene Holt, Jack Chism, Jo Keillor, and Nate Wieland ABSENT: Scott Darnell

5. MATTERS OF CONSIDERATION  

5.1. Open Public Hearing

Chism opened the Public Meeting at 6:02 PM and closed the Public Meeting at 6:08 PM. 

5.2. Consideration of request from Duane House for a rezoning of Parcel #05-30-14- 102-059 commonly known as 815 Fairground Drive, from Neighborhood Urban (NU) to Commercial General (CG). 

Motion by Chance Vohlken, seconded by Jo Keillor, to approve the request from Duane House for a rezoning of Parcel # 05-30-14-102-059 commonly known as 815 Fairground Drive, from Neighborhood Urban (NU) to Commercial General (CG). 

RESULT: Carried MOVER: Chance Vohlken SECONDER: Jo Keillor AYES: Brent Shaw, Chance Vohlken, Eugene Holt, Jack Chism, Jo Keillor, and Nate Wieland ABSENT: Scott Darnell

6. ADJOURNMENT  

Motion by Nate Wieland, seconded by Jo Keillor, to adjourn the Planning Commission Meeting at 6:15 PM.
