Western Illinois University has announced schedule changes for its upcoming baseball and softball home conference series against Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech due to weather forecasts.
The Leatherneck Softball team was initially set to play Tennessee State in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 5, with a single game on Sunday, April 6. The revised schedule now has the doubleheader on Sunday, April 6, and a single game on Monday, April 7. All three games will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
Similarly, the Leatherneck Baseball team has altered its schedule for the series against Tennessee Tech. The games were originally planned for Friday, April 4, and the following Saturday and Sunday. Now, the series will commence on Saturday, April 5, with subsequent games on Sunday, April 6, and Monday, April 7. Unlike softball, the baseball series will feature a radio broadcast on April 5, but will not be available on ESPN+.
