McDonough County Board Finance Committee met March 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The monthly Finance Committee meeting was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 3rd Floor, Law Library. Committee Members present were Vice Chair Larry Aurelio, Mike Cox, Ken Durkin, Craig Foster, and Joe Erlandson. Chair Travis Hiel, and Member Eric Chapman were absent. Others in attendance included County Chair Eric Blakeley, County Board Secretary Sara Kluthe, and County Clerk Jeremy Benson.

Vice Chair Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from February 12, 2025

Member Durkin moved with a second by Member Foster to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

MCPT Report

The monthly MCPT Report was received and filed.

Bushnell Senior Meals Report Review & Approval

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Durkin to approve the YMCA invoice in the amount of $726.69 for February, 2025. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Coroner Report

The monthly Coroner Report was received and filed.

Monthly Financial Reports

The monthly Financial Reports were received and filed.

Transfer of Funds

The funds for the second payroll in February were transferred early due to the fact there will not be a Treasurer that week to endorse the checks.

Warrants Issued in Vacation

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Foster to approve the Warrants Issued in Vacation. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Insurance Update

None. Keith Krohe will attend in April with an update.

Approve CAD Change Order Pricing #14 – Temporary Repair to Electrical Service Member Foster moved with a second by Member Durkin to approve the CAD Change Order Pricing #14 – Temporary Repair to Electrical Service. Motion carried on a voice.

County Clerk Jeremy Benson – Discuss Intergovernmental Agreement with Court Services County Clerk Benson gave an overview of the Payroll Contract between the County and Court Services. Court Services has requested to make a change to the contract regarding how payment is made to the County.

Approval of Claims

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Foster to approve the Claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Executive Session

None.

Public Comment

Member Cox updated the Committee regarding the generator for the Courthouse. The proposal is not done yet, he asked them to modify it to include the verification of what size of generator is needed.

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Blakeley informed the Committee that funds regarding the Animal Control and Animal Pet Population funds have been transferred.

Member Foster moved with a second by Member Durkin to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
