Owen Howe of Western Illinois University has been named the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Golfer of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference on Thursday.
Howe's recognition comes after his performance at the Zach Johnson Invitational, where he finished in third place overall. Competing against teams such as North Dakota, South Dakota, Indian Hills, North Dakota State, Drake, Houston Christian, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Illinois University (EIU), Howe achieved a total score of 210 (-3) across three rounds and shot even par in the second round.
The Western Illinois Leathernecks men's golf team is scheduled to participate in the SIUE Invitational on September 29-30.
