The Pittsfield City Council met March 15 to approve the Scott County Bass Anglers Tournament on May 14 at Pittsfield Lake.
The motion was approved with all members in favor.
The City Council also hired Michael Starman as a new city police officer; approved the treasurer’s monthly report for February; allowed the Fall Festival Committee to close the south half of Monroe Street between Adams and Jefferson streets from Aug. 31 through Sept. 3; and approved the Finance Committee report.
The City Council meets at 215 N. Monroe St.
