Coffeen Fire Protection District responded to six calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Coffeen included five fires - three structure fires and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $30,000 in fire loss - or about $6,000 per fire.

The department also received one false call.
