City of Beardstown City Council met March 2.

Roll Call


The City Council of the City of Beardstown, Cass County, Illinois met in special session Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Beardstown City Hall, 105 West Third Street at 6:00 P.M. At the above time and place, the following members were present: Mayor Leslie A Harris, City Clerk Brian Ruch, Alderpersons: Tom Penwarden, Robert Burget, Tim Harris, Ron Culves, Gabe Seward, Sally Lael, Mary Davis and Tracey Price. Absent: none. There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order.

There were no public comments.

Ordinance Ambulance Service Eastern Cass County

Motion by Penwarden, seconded by Price “That an Ordinance Authorizing Execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement with Cass County, Illinois be adopted." passed by 8-0 roll call vote. Yea: Burget, Culves Harris, Lael, Penwarden, Price and Seward. No: none. Absent: none. (Agreement is for Beardstown Ambulance Department to provide ambulance service for eastern Cass County)

Ordinance Ambulance Service Western Cass County

Motion by Lael, seconded by Penwarden "That an Ordinance Authorizing Execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement with Cass County, Illinois be adopted.” passed by 8-0 roll call vote. Yea: Burget, Culves, Davis, Harris, Lael, Penwarden, Price and Seward. No: none. Absent: none. (Agreement is for Beardstown Ambulance Department to provide ambulance service for western Cass County)

Mike Barnett announced Cass Communications contributed $55,000.00 for the purchase of a heart monitor and cot.

There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 6:07 P.M. on the motion of Penwarden, seconded by Burget.
