Editor's note: A previous version of this story incorrectly calculated the school district's spending per pupil. The Illinois Report Card reports per-student spending in two figures: instructional spending, which refers specifically to interactions between teachers and students, and operational spending, which refers to the total cost of operating the district and includes instructional spending. This story has been corrected to include only operational spending per student.
