Report: A-C Central spent $9,421 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at A-C Central Community Unit School District 262 is up 7 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cass County school district spent $8,787 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,421 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 467 to 445.

A-C Central's spending in 2016-17 was 27 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
