Report: Waverly spent $11,752 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Waverly Community Unit School District 6 is up 21 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Morgan County school district spent $9,677 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,752 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 406 to 364.

Waverly's spending in 2016-17 was 9 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
