Report: Schuyler Industry spent $9,688 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Schuyler Industry Community Unit School District 5 is down 1 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Schuyler County school district spent $9,778 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,688 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1227 to 1126.

Schuyler Industry's spending in 2016-17 was 25 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
