Report: Scott Morgan spent $11,180 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Scott Morgan Community Unit School District 2 is up 21 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Scott County school district spent $9,256 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,180 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 262 to 221.

Scott Morgan's spending in 2016-17 was 14 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
