Graduates earn 227 degrees from Illinois College

About 21.6 percent of the 227 degrees and certificates handed out by the Illinois College in 2016-17 were to students in Biological And Biomedical Sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Jacksonville conferred 49 bachelor's degrees in Biological And Biomedical Sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Data shows the school gave out 40 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, followed by 38 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General and 28 bachelor's degrees in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, Other.

The college enrolled 960 students for 2016-17, including 958 in undergraduate programs and 2 in graduate programs.
