McDonough County Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the Elms. Committee members in attendance included Chairman Larry Aurelio, Lee Calvert, Dave Cortelyou, Bob Mahr, Paul Trimmer, and Marcia Twaddle. Members absent were Jerome Anderson, Digger Oster, and County Chairman Scott Schwerer. Others in attendance included Patrick Stout, Tara Litchfield, Mike Kirby, Tina Cox, Chad Wilson, Joe Erlandson, a group of CNAs from the Elms, and Stacey Alexander as recording secretary.

Chairman Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review & Approval of March 13, 2018 Minutes

Member Mahr moved with second by Member Trimmer to approve the March 13, 2018 minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Farm Report

None

Administrator’s Report

Census is at 82, with 6 being Medicare, 41 Medicaid, 31 private pay, and 4 on hospice. The state currently owes $381,785.71. The staff longevity awards will be given out on April 26th. On Sunday June 3rd from 1:00 to 3:00 will be the Ice Cream Social, Troublesome Creek will be the band.

Financial Report

Member Trimmer moved with a second by Member Calvert to approve the March 2018 Financial Reports. Motion carried with a voice note.

Elms Claims

Member Mahr moved with a second by Member Twaddle to approve the Elm’s claims. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 6 yays and 2 absent.

Macomb Public Building Commission

The floor at the Elm’s is done.

Zahrn Building

The canopy has been removed and they have begun tuck pointing.

McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report

Chad Wilson gave the report.

Building and Grounds Claims

Member Trimmer moved with a second by Member Anderson to approve the Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried with a voice note.

Executive Session

Motion to go into executive session by Member Mahr moved with a second by Member Trimmer at 7:04 p.m. Motion to exit executive session by Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Mahr at 8:01 p.m.

Other

A letter was received from Michala Swanger with WIRC-CAA Victim Services requesting support in hosting the annual Hands Around the Courthouse on April 26th at 12:00 p.m. Member Trimmer moved with a second by Member Mahr to approve the annual Hands Around the Courthouse event.

Jock Hedblade with Heritage Days said that they will start setting up on the Courthouse Square after 5:00 p.m. on Friday and all day Saturday.

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Mahr that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried on a voice vote. With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
