Pleasant Hill Community Unit School District 3 students suspended 11 times in a single school year

Pleasant Hill Community Unit School District 3 reported 11 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 11 students during the year. That equates to 3.6 percent of the 304 students enrolled.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes nine incidents. For four incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes two incidents. For two incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
