Report: Carrollton spent $9,480 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Carrollton Community Unit School District 1 is up 7.5 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Greene County school district spent $8,817 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,480 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 622 to 545.

Carrollton's spending in 2017-18 was 28.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
