Report: Jacksonville spent $10,693 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Jacksonville School District 117 is up 13.9 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Morgan County school district spent $9,389 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,693 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3415 to 3372.

Jacksonville's spending in 2017-18 was 19.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
