Report: Scott Morgan spent $11,634 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Scott Morgan Community Unit School District 2 is up 19.4 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Scott County school district spent $9,740 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,634 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 247 to 226.

Scott Morgan's spending in 2017-18 was 12.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
