Administrators in Bushnell Prairie City Community Unit School District 170 earn an average of $91,649 per year, ranking 569th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 6% higher than in 2014 and 19.3% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 14.6% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Mcdonough County school district enrolled 696 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 174 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
