Analysis: Triopia administrators rank 748th in state for average pay

Administrators in Triopia Community Unit School District 27 earn an average of $81,242 per year, ranking 748th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 9.7% higher than in 2014 and 8.8% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 24.3% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Morgan County school district enrolled 383 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 128 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
