The price of local government in 2017: City of Macomb

The City of Macomb budget was $31.18 million for its 2017 fiscal year, or $4,497 per household.

That's a decrease of 8.3 percent from 2016, when the city spent $34 million, or $4,904 per household.

Macomb has 6,933 households and a population of 21,516.

Since 2001, the City of Macomb budget has grown by 42 percent, from $21.96 million. The city population has grown 15.9 percent over the same period, from 18,558.
