City of Bushnell Council met March 18.

Ald. Lorton made a motion to approve the consent agenda, which include the following items;

Ad Hoc (Mayor’s Report)
1. Mayor Wilt attended the Economic Development Conference in Springfield March 5-7.
2. Mayor Wilt held a meeting with Brian Dietz the CEO of McDonough District Hospital to discuss future MDH and Bushnell MDH clinic.
3. City Clerk Tashina Bradford turned in a resignation letter to Mayor Wilt on March 15, 2019, marking the April 1, 2019 her effective date.
4. City Attorney Nicole Humber is ill; therefore the FOP is rescheduled to the April 1, 2019 meeting.
5. Advertisement for the Tiny Vet House is in the paper this week.
6. Bushnell Recreational & Cultural Center is losing the cleaning person, Jim Miles. Ald.Glisan will be discussing options with the YMCA.
7. WIRC will hopefully have an answer about the façade grant for the downtown area this week.
8. Mayor attended the MAEDCO meeting on Tuesday March 12, 2019.
9. Congratulations to Joe Fosdyck for 16th year Anniversary with the City today.
Public Works
- Ald. Miller requested a Public Works meeting for April 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. to discuss Water help and the deep well project. City Engineer Eric Moe and Test representative Greg Faulkerson will be in attendance.
- Public works Director Justin Griffith explained the Capacitor Bank Study and Electric Efficiency funding; and how it pertains to the City of Bushnell. Justin Griffith was cleared to proceed with the current projects.
1. Police Activity Report was submitted for March.
2. Next Meeting will be held April 8, 2019 4pm at Police Complex.
3. Ald. Allen advised she is working to reschedule the meeting with School Superintendent Kathy Dinger in regards to the School Resource Officer for March 19, 2019 5:15 p.m.
4. A stripped down police charger will go on Auction block soon.
5. Waiting on ordinance for Dangerous & Vicious animal’s ordinance.
6. ESDA coordinator Jeff Rench says all storm sirens are up and running; next meeting will be April 8, 2019 at 3:30 p.m.

Norton to go into executive session to discuss Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2© (1) of the Open Meetings Act. It was seconded by Ald. Miller. A roll call vote was taken and the results of that vote are as follows:
