Roll Call
The City Council of the City of Beardstown, Cass County, Illinois, met in regular session Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Beardstown City Hall, 105 West Third Street at 6:34 p.m. At the above time and place, the following members were present: Mayor Leslie Harris, City Clerk Brian Ruch, Alderpersons Gabe Seward, Ron Culves, Robert Burget, Mary Davis, Tom Penwarden, Tim Harris and Sally Lael. Absent: Tracey Price.
There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order.
Public Comment
Dawn Seward addressed the City Council regarding the process for issuing tickets for code enforcement violations. Alderwoman Lael requested reports be provided by the Code Enforcement officer. Public Works Director Hamilton informed the landlords need to be held responsible for code enforcement violations on their rental property.
