Cost of college went up for all students at Illinois College

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Illinois College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $33,090 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $950 more than the $32,140 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 258 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.6 million and 196 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (983), 953 students used grants or scholarships totaling $23 million, and 847 students took out $6.1 million in federal student loans.
