Waverly Volunteer Fire Department responded to 14 calls in 2018 - 75 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Waverly included 11 fires - five structure fires, one vehicle fire and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $1,266,000 in fire loss - or about $115,091 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.
