City of Waverly City Council Met Nov. 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

The City Council of the City of Waverly, Illinois met at 7:00 P.M. via Zoom meeting. City Clerk Jeff Jones was present. Treasurer Maresa McDannald was present.

ROLL CALL

Mayor Scott Duewer called the meeting to order and roll call was answered by Council members: Jeff Baines, Shane Gray, Joe Nagel, Matt Cleveland and Evan Durako. Terry Campbell not present.

COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR

MINUTES

Motion by Alderman Durako Second by Alderman Cleveland to approve the meeting minutes from the October 06, 2020 meeting. Motion was approved by roll call vote as follows: AYES: Baines, Gray, Nagel, Cleveland, and Durako. Nays: None.

REPORTS

Motion by Alderman Baines Second by Alderman Cleveland to approve the reports of the Clerk, Collector, Bookkeeper, and Treasurer. Motion was approved by roll call vote as follows: AYES: Baines, Gray, Nagel, Cleveland, and Durako. Nays: None.

BILLS

Motion by Alderman Cleveland Second by Alderman Durako to pay the October bills due in November. Motion was approved by roll call vote as follows: AYES: Baines, Gray, Nagel, Cleveland, and Durako. Nays: None.

MUNICIPAL

Motion by Alderman Cleveland Second by Alderman Baines to approve the Lake Farm Lease for the next two (2) years for the same dollar amount. Motion was approved by roll call vote as follows: AYES: Baines, Gray, Nagel, Cleveland, and Durako. Nays: None.

FINANCE

Motion by Alderman Baines Second by Alderman Nagel to approve the Tax Levy Ordinance. Motion was approved by roll call vote as follows: AYES: Baines, Gray, Nagel, Cleveland, and Durako. Nays: None.

PARKS, LAKES, AND RECREATION

None.

POLICE

Motion by Alderman Baines Second by Alderman Nagel to Approve raise for Officer Mike Robinson.

Chief Johnson’s monthly police report was reviewed.

STREETS AND ALLEYS

UTILITIES

Discussion of getting bids for new gas valves where needed in the City. This will be on December meeting.

ZONING

NEW BUSINESS

Discussion for preliminary design work at Water Plant tabled till December meeting.

ADJOURN

Motion by Alderman Cleveland Second by Alderman Nagel to adjourn the meeting. Motion was approved by roll call vote as follows: AYES: Baines, Gray, Nagel, Cleveland, and Durako. Nays: None.

Mayor Duewer adjourned the meeting at 7:47 P.M.
