Village of Chapin Board of Trustees Personnel Committee met Sept. 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The meeting was called to order at 5:30pm with the following in attendance Trustee Mark Lovekamp, Trustee Mary Rae Brockhouse, Trustee Rex Brockhouse, and Village Clerk - Christina Courier.

Trustees reviewed the applications for the positions of Public Works Superintendent and Part-Time Public Works Assistant.

The first applicant, Jeff Lonergan, arrived at 6:00pm and was interviewed by Trustees.

Jeff left the meeting at 6:18pm

The second applicant, Terry Menge, arrived at 6:25pm and was interviewed by Trustees.

Terry left the meeting at 6:45pm The third applicant, Hayden Helton, arrived at 6:57pm and was interviewed by Trustees.

Hayden left the meeting at 7:20pm

The fourth applicant, David Carl, arrived at 7:27pm and was interviewed by Trustees.

David left the meeting at 7:46pm

The fifth applicant, Elizabeth Morgan, arrived at 7:51pm and was interviewed by Trustees.

Elizabeth left the meeting at 8:10pm

Trustees discussed each applicant and potential hourly pay rates.

The Committee will be bringing their decision back to the whole Board on the Regular scheduled meeting on September 8th, 2021 for Board approval.

A motion to adjourn at 8:27pm was made by Trustee M. Lovekamp. A second was made by Trustee M. Brockhouse. Roll Call: Trustee M. Brockhouse yea, Trustee R. Brockhouse yea, Trustee M. Lovekamp yea. Motion carried. 3 yea, 0 nay.
