City of Bushnell City Council met Jan. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

Pro tem Mayor Lorton called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

Treasurer

*City Treasurer Betsy Rench stated that with the extra Cure’s money we are stocking up on Cleaning supplies and looking into getting some of the police calls and rescue calls reimbursed.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Coates made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from December 20, 2021

2. Approve November Financial report

3. Approve and Pay December Bills

Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Havens “aye”    Ald. Baker “aye”

Ald. Norton “aye”

Where upon Pro tem Mayor Lorton declared the motion carried

Ad hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*Interim Mayor Lorton relayed a email from Mayor Wilt thanking the David and his crew For the snow removal. Also thanking Joe and the electric department for getting the Electricity back up to Fitch Manor. Mayor Wilt also thanked Jeff Rench from ESDA for setting Up the warming center at the recreation center.

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Next meeting Friday January 7, 4:00 at the City Hall .

Public Works

*Interim Mayor Lorton reported that the well drillers were supposed to be here this week, but With the weather will not be here till next week.

*Street Superintendent David Raymond reported that we have a leaking fire hydrant that would Have to be dealt with.

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*Next meeting Monday, January 10, 2022 4:00 @ complex

*Council approved ordering new taser from AXON

*Chief Ferguson reported that Caitlin Lovell turned in her resignation.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Nothing to report

Engineering

*Nothing to report

Economic Development

*Next meeting January 24, 2022, 4:00 @ City Hall

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

*City Attorney Chuck Leageler stated he had the updated version for the Land Lease between The city and DAW farms.

Ald. Norton made a motion to approve the Land lease between the city and DAW farms. Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Havens “aye”   Ald. Baker“aye”

Ald. Norton “aye”     Ald. Coates“aye”

Ald. Yocum “aye”

Where upon Pro tem Mayor Lorton declared the motion carried.

Ald. Coates made a motion to adjourn

Meeting was adjourned at 5:45
