Illinois College issued the following announcement on Jan. 25
The Midwest Conference has announced its weekly award recipients for the sport of swimming and diving. Jake Howey has been named this week's MWC Men's Swim Performer of the Week.
Howey had a standout performance in the Blueboys road meet at Principia College this past weekend. Howey led the Blueboys placing first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.36) and second in the 100-yard freestyle (49.31). He was also a part of the second place finishing 200-yard medley relay (1:49.29) and the third place 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:47.18).
Both the men's and women's teams will travel to compete at Principia College on Saturday, 1/29 at 1:00 PM.
