Report: Carrollton School District spent $10,197 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Carrollton Community Unit School District 1 was up 24.6 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Greene County school district spent $8,181 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,197 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 601 to 535 students over the same period.

Carrollton's spending in 2019-20 was 29.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
