Personnel/Finance/Budget
*Ald. Norton reported they would be having their first meeting with the IBEW reps on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 4:00
Public Works
*The City Yard Waste Site will stay closed for a couple more weeks, due to all the moisture In the ground.
*The well should be finished and ready to go this week.
Police/Liquor/ESDA
*Activity report for February
*Police Chief Ferguson stated that the SRO program was exceeding expectations and wouldn’t have any trouble renewing the contract.
*Next meeting Monday, March 14, 2022 4:00 at the complex.
*Jeff Rench with ESDA reported that they would be doing storm spotter training on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 at the 4H center.
*Rench also reported that Bushnell was not a part of the national flood insurance program, which means we would not be able to get any grant money from FEMA.
Real Estate/Parks/Recreation
*Ald. Coates updated council on the 200 block of the Hail Street replacement project. They will start cutting trees around the 3rd week in March, weather permitting. They will also be removing some of the approaches that need to come out. Rebuild IL money is funding this project and hopefully construction will begin this summer.
*Street Superintendent Raymond stated that we could use MFT monies to chip and oil the parking lot at the Rec. Center.
*Coates stated they are getting prices to update the kitchen, paint, and get some new tables and chairs at the Rec. Center.
*There was request to buy a Sportsroyals Power Tower Dip Station Pull up Bar for the Rec. Center. The council agreed with general consensus.
*A trailer on 758 W. Main has back taxes of $13,000, City Attorney Chuck Leageler stated the best course action would be to get a court order to demolish and clean up.
Website/Calendar/social media
*Ald. Webb suggested looking into a different platform for the website, one that is easier
To use and maintain.
Ald. Allen made a motion to let Ald. Webb draw up a proposal for a new website, calendar, and social media platform. Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

MAEDCO
*MAEDCO Executive Director Kim Pierce stated there has been 29 Back to Business grants given out for a total of $645,000. There is still 70 million remaining for these grants.
*Pierce stated there will be a new windfarm going up in the SE county, Industry area, they have 27,000 acres under contract.
*CEO battle of the bands sold 100 tickets with 60 people buying at the door.
Economic Development
*Ald. Allen stated they have been working with Kings and will be getting order forms out for T-Shirts for Zip Code Day. Forms will be due by 5/23 and delivery will be on Thursday,
June 2, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 at the VFW.
*Ald. Havens has created a public Facebook event page for the Zip code Day.
*Parade line up will start at 4:00 for the Zip code Day parade. Rolling Smoke will be serving food in the VFW parking lot following the parade.

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions
*City Attorney Chuck Leageler stated there are ordinance violation cases that are still open from as far back as 1995. The council agreed with general consensus to dismiss actions on anything over 20 years old or under $100.
*Leagelar stated he has been notified by the McDonough County Health Department that
A residence at 437 S. Front St. has been condemned. He will start court proceedings to get the resident help and alternative housing. The council agreed with general consensus.
