On Sunday, December 31, former Valley Center High School standout, Joe Petrakis’ current college team, the Western Illinois Leathernecks, won 78-70 in their NCAA D1 game against the SIU Edwardsville Cougars.

The game took place in Edwardsville, Illinois. This was the first matchup against the SIU Edwardsville Cougars this season.

The Western Illinois Leathernecks’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, January 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Macomb, Illinois.
