Bushnell-Prairie City Community Unit School District 170 Board of Education met March 20.

The Board of Education met in a Regular Meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School LRC with the following members present: McCleery, Miller, Croxton, Webb, Thompson, McGrew and Spangler Absent: None

Public Comments: None

The Board reviewed the Consent Agenda.

Motion by Member McGrew, seconded by Member Webb to approve the Consent Agenda which contained the following: Minutes of the February 21, 2024, Regular and Executive Session Meetings, Payment of Bills, Treasurer's Report and Investments, Student Activity Accounts, Manual and Void Checks and Imprest Ledgers. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Webb, Thompson, McGrew and Spangler. Nay: None. Abstain: Croxton

Bob Gound, Superintendent, reported he and Nathan Webb attended the Western Division Meeting in Colchester. He attended B-PC Education Foundation meeting on March 6th

The Board reviewed the Personnel Report.

Motion by Member Spangler, seconded by Member Miller to approve the Personnel Report as follows: Resignations: Madison Johnson as Elementary ParaPro effective 02/06/2024, Erica Fuller as Junior High School Math Teacher effective and the end of the 2023-24 School Year. Jonathan Fuller as District Full-Time Substitute Teacher effective at

Sp. the end of the 2023-24 School Year. Employment: Heather Vollbrecht as Elementary ParaPro effective 02/23/2024, Elizabeth Treadway as Junior High Assistant Track Coach for the 2024 Season, Octavian Pierce as Junior High Assistant Track Coach for the 2024 Season. Non-Tenured Non-Renewal: Brayden Davis as Elementary Teacher effective at the end of the 2023-24 School Year. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Croxton, Webb, Thompson, McGrew and Spangler. Nay: None

The Board reviewed the 2024-25 School Calendar.

Motion by Member McGrew, seconded by Member Thompson to approve the 2024-25 School Calendar as presented. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Croxton, Webb, Thompson, McGrew and Spangler. Nay: None

Superintendent Gound reviewed the IHSA and IESA Membership renewals.

Motion by Member Thompson, seconded by Member Spangler to renew the Annual IHSA Membership. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Croxton, Webb, Thompson, McGrew and Spangler. Nay: None

Motion by Member McGrew, seconded by Member Webb to renew to IESA Annual Membership. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Croxton, Webb, Thompson, McGrew and Spangler. Nay: None

Superintendent Gound reviewed the Tuition Waiver Requests from three Teachers.

Motion by Member Spangler, seconded by Member Webb to approve the Tuition Waiver Requests from Staci Kramer, Andrea Ferguson and Kristen Mahr. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Croxton, Webb, Thompson, McGrew and Spangler. Nay: None

Superintendent Gound discussed the options for a District Strategic Planning.

Motion by Member Miller seconded by Member Thompson to adjourn the Meeting. After a voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

The next regular meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School LRC.
