Western Illinois Women's Soccer is set to begin its 2024 season this August, aiming to build on a 2023 season where they earned points in over half of their conference matches.

The team will start with three exhibition matches: at Chicago State on August 6, at Northern Illinois on August 9, and a home match against St. Ambrose on August 11.

The regular season kicks off in Iowa, with the Leathernecks facing Big 12 opponent Iowa State on August 15. They will then travel to Cedar Falls for a rematch against Northern Iowa on August 18, following last year's scoreless draw in Macomb.

The Leathernecks will host three consecutive home games starting on August 29 against former Summit League rival South Dakota State. This will be followed by matches against Green Bay on September 5 and Illinois State on September 8.

To conclude the non-conference schedule, Western Illinois will play St. Thomas in Minnesota on September 13 and Drake Bulldogs in Des Moines on September 15.

After a week-long break, the OVC season begins for Western Illinois with an away game at Lindenwood on September 22. The OVC schedule features nine games exclusively played on Thursdays and Sundays.

On September 26, the Leathernecks will host Morehead State before traveling to Southeast Missouri State for a match on September 29. They will then have two home games against SIUE and Little Rock on October 3 and October 6 respectively.

Following a mid-week break, Western Illinois faces Eastern Illinois in Charleston on October 13. Their final full weekend of action includes home games against UT Martin and Tennessee Tech on October 17 and October 20. The regular season concludes with an away match at Southern Indiana on October 27.

Post-season play includes the OVC Women's Soccer Championship held at campus sites from Halloween through November 10. The tournament features the top eight finishers from the ten-team conference.
