Western Illinois concludes Zach Johnson Invitational in 12th place

Western Illinois University participated in the Zach Johnson Invitational hosted by Drake, concluding their third fall tournament with a team score of +67, which placed them 12th overall.

Baptiste Labeyrie was the standout performer for the Leathernecks, finishing in the top 20. Labeyrie shot +3 over the three rounds, beginning with two rounds of -1 70's. He made eight birdies in the first 36 holes and entered the second day tied for 12th place. On the final day, he maintained an even-par on the front nine before ending three over for the tournament.

Teammates Luke Lofgren and Mateo Rascon also had strong finishes, contributing seven birdies between them to complete their final round at just two over par.

The individual scores were as follows: Baptiste Labeyrie tied for 20th with +3, Luke Lofgren at T61 with +17, Mateo Rascon at 65 with +18, David Ayala at 74 with +29, and Drew Hall at 75 with +57.

The Leathernecks will continue their season at the Big O Classic scheduled for October 2-3.
