Western Illinois University's women's tennis team is set to compete in two matches this weekend. The Leathernecks, who currently hold a 1-1 record, will first face the University of Cincinnati on Friday at the Western Athletic Club. Following this, they will take on Bowling Green State University on Saturday at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.

This weekend marks the first encounter between Western Illinois and both Cincinnati and Bowling Green's programs. Last weekend, the Leathernecks experienced mixed results with a loss against Illinois State (6-1) and a victory over IUPUI (4-3). Key performances came from doubles teams Paige Grice/Lara Rossetto Diniz de Souza and Agatha Carbonell/Anna-Evelina Trush, alongside singles wins by Grice, Rossetto Diniz de Souza, and Trush.

Cincinnati enters the match with a perfect 2-0 record after defeating Chicago State (4-0) and Southern Indiana (7-0). Meanwhile, Bowling Green holds a 1-1 record with a win against Dayton (4-3) and a defeat by Northwestern Ohio (3-4).

Following these matches, Western Illinois will have a two-week break before visiting St. Thomas on February 9th and Northern Iowa on February 10th. Their next home match is scheduled for February 16th against Northern Illinois.
