Leatherneck athletes conclude season at NCAA West Region meet

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – Renee Raglin and Aliyah Adams concluded their seasons at the NCAA West Region Outdoor Track and Field Meet. Both athletes had significant performances over the weekend.

On Saturday, Aliyah Adams achieved her best jump of the season in her final meet. Initially in 37th place, Adams executed a triple jump of 43 feet, one inch, elevating her to 19th overall. This performance placed her second in the WIU women's outdoor triple jump record book, surpassing her previous best of 42-6.75. Adams is recognized as one of the most accomplished track and field athletes in WIU history and was named the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor and Outdoor Female Athlete of the Meet at the league championships.

Renee Raglin competed in the women's long jump on Thursday night, finishing in 37th place. Her best effort was a leap of 19 feet, 9.5 inches after an initial attempt of 18-4.25 and a fault on her second try. Raglin's final attempt marked her best performance for the day.

Raglin ends her season with the program's second-longest long jump record and an Ohio Valley Conference long jump championship.
