With a strong performance on both the ground and through the air, Nathan Lamb, quarterback for Western Illinois University, has been recognized as the Offensive Player of the Week by the Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Football Association. Lamb's efforts were instrumental in his team's 37-21 victory over Tennessee Tech.

During the game, Lamb threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another. He completed 15 out of 24 passes, accumulating 260 yards through the air. On the ground, he led his team with 17 carries for 90 yards. His passing touchdowns came from distances of 27 and 13 yards in the first quarter, while his rushing touchdown was a two-yard effort in the second quarter. In total, Lamb accounted for 350 yards of offense.

This marks Lamb's second time receiving this honor within the season; he previously earned it on September 16. The last player from Western Illinois to achieve this feat twice in one season was Steve McShane in special teams during 2018. Sean McGuire was also a two-time Offensive Player of the Week honoree back in 2017.

Other nominees for Offensive Player of the Week included Chris Rhone from Charleston Southern, Quasean Holmes from Gardner-Webb, Jeff Caldwell from Lindenwood, Draylen Ellis from Tennessee State, and Jalen Mitchell from Tennessee Tech.

In other awards announced by the conference:

Vincent King from Lindenwood was named Defensive Player of the Week after recording an impressive performance with 15 tackles against Gardner-Webb. King's consistent defensive contributions have made him a standout player within the conference.

CJ Evans of Tennessee State received recognition as Special Teams Player of the Week following a pivotal kickoff return that secured his team's lead against Howard.

The Co-Freshman Players of the Week were Steve Hall from Lindenwood and Sanders Ellis from Tennessee State. Hall contributed significantly to his team's offensive efforts against Gardner-Webb while Ellis showcased strong defensive skills in Tennessee State's win over Howard.
