Western Illinois women's golf finishes sixth at Summit League Championship

Western Illinois University's women's golf team concluded their season at the Summit League Championship held at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Leathernecks secured a sixth-place finish with a cumulative score of 914 over three rounds.

Freshman Kelly Wu led the team with a total score of 219. She recorded scores of 72, 74, and 73 across the three rounds, respectively, shooting a total of five birdies during the tournament.

Natalie Hooper finished with a three-round score of 227. Her performance included a first-round score of 76 with four birdies and an impressive third-round score of 70, featuring consecutive birdies on holes two and three.

The individual standings for Western Illinois players were as follows: Kelly Wu tied for ninth place at +6, Natalie Hooper finished in 25th place at +14, Katie Tanner tied for 34th place at +20, Olivia Kerr tied for 40th place at +24, and Riley Hansen placed in the T-43 position at +30.
