Western Illinois Women's Golf Team concludes regular season at Omaha tournament

The Western Illinois Women's Golf Team concluded their regular season at the Stampede at the Creek tournament in Omaha, finishing in ninth place with a team score of 936 (+72). The event took place over two days, Monday and Tuesday.

Mia Scrimgeour delivered a strong performance, shooting a 76 (+4) in both the first and final rounds. Scrimgeour managed to achieve three birdies throughout the tournament and finished tied for 20th place with a total score of +16.

Abby Hunter showcased consistency across her rounds. She completed round one with a score of 79 (+7), improved to 77 (+5) in round two, and ended with another 79 (+7) in the final round. Hunter secured a tie for 28th place with a total score of +19.

Makayla Mussatto made significant progress on the last day by shooting a round three score of 73 (+1), which enabled her to jump 13 positions on the leaderboard. Her efforts placed her tied for 23rd at +17 overall.

Natalie Hooper had an impressive run with six birdies during the tournament, securing her spot tied for 37th place at +23. Olivia Kerr and Hannah Butler also contributed to the team's overall performance, although Kerr's individual standing was not available.

The Leathernecks are now preparing for their next challenge at the Ohio Valley Conference Meet in Tunica, Mississippi, from April 14 to April 16.
