Western Illinois gears up for Tennessee State game with fan-friendly initiatives

Western Illinois University Athletics has announced several measures to enhance the experience for fans attending football games at Hanson Field. These include gameday strategies and health protocols designed to ensure safety and enjoyment.

The upcoming game against Tennessee State University will start at 1:02 p.m. CST and will be available on ESPN+.

Parking lots open at 8:00 a.m. on November 9, with preferred parking available for Leatherneck Club members who hold season tickets. General parking is free and accessible on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets can be purchased at Hanson Field on game days or in advance through leathernecktickets.com or by calling (309) 298-1190.

WIU Athletics will host Protect and Serve Day during the November 9 game, honoring veterans and first responders. A reunion for WIU Football alumni is also planned, featuring special recognition of the 1974 team that defeated Hawaii.

Student tailgating will take place in Q Lot, with free admission to the game for students showing their WIU Student ID. The Touchdown Terrace, exclusive to certain Leatherneck Club members, offers field-level views and refreshments.
