The Western Illinois baseball team is set to host its annual First Pitch Dinner on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The event will take place at Park Place of Macomb and will feature special guest Larry Owens. Owens brings over three decades of baseball experience, having worked with teams such as the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. His career also includes coaching roles at various colleges and a stint in the Cape Cod League.

Attendees can look forward to a round table discussion with Owens, alongside a silent auction and dinner. Head Baseball Coach Terry Davis expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating: "We are so excited and thankful to have Coach Owens join us for our annual First Pitch Dinner. Not only will this be a great opportunity for our team to interact with someone who has seen every level of baseball but an outstanding event for the community of Macomb as well."

The evening's schedule begins at 6:00 p.m. with doors opening, the start of the silent auction, and a cash bar available. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m., followed by the program at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $80 each, or attendees can opt for a table reservation for eight people at $600 ($75 per person). All proceeds from the event will benefit the 2025 Leatherneck Baseball team. Guests are encouraged to RSVP by January 25, 2025, through email or phone contact with Head Coach Terry Davis.
