City of Bushnell City Council met Feb. 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

*Cost of Living increase is 2.9%

Consent Agenda

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from January 20,2025

2. Approve December Financial Report

3. Approve & Pay January bills

Ald. Norton seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Promisson “aye”  Ald. Yocum “aye”

Ald. Webb absent       Ald. Allen “aye”

Ald. Havens “aye”       Ald. Burkholder “aye”

Ald. Norton “aye”        Ald. Ellis “aye”

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ad hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*”Let the Sparks Fly “ fundraiser for the fireworks is on February 15, 2025.

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Nothing to report

Public Works

*Economic Development Credit Program for Commercial and Individual Rate – needs some changes in the wording, will be addressed at the next meeting.

*Next meeting February 11, 2025 4:00 @ City Hall

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*The committee watched a demo of the Flock Camera system.

*Jeff Rench with ESDA would like to get together with the department heads and the Mayor to go over the City’s Disaster plan.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Nothing to report

Engineering Report

*Bidding proposal for the Washington Street Sanitary Sewer project is $5,000, after the is done some decisions will need to be made about what to do with the street.

Economic Development

*Next meeting is Wednesday, February 5th, 4:30 @ the Rec Center

MAEDCO

*Annual Membership meeting February 20th

*TJ MAXX and Hobby Lobby in Macomb should be opening in March

Attorney’s Report/ Ordinances & Resolutions

Ald. Burkholder made a motion to approve putting up stop signs at Miller/Hess, and Miller/1900th Rd.

Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows.

Ald. Webb absent       Ald. Allen “aye”

Ald. Havens “aye”       Ald. Burkholder “aye”
