More than 500 community members gathered on September 27-28 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Memorial Hospital. The two-day event included activities for all ages and brought together hospital departments, local vendors, and families from the region.

A commemorative program featured a performance by the community choir led by Brad Culpepper, Director of Hospitality at Memorial Hospital. Local veterans conducted a flag ceremony. During the celebration, Memorial Hospital’s CEO Ada Bair received the Hancock County Honor Guard medallion from veterans, along with a special proclamation delivered by Mayor Gary Smith.

Saturday's events included nearly 50 vendors and organizations participating in a street fair-style gathering. Children enjoyed face painting, a glitter hair station hosted by Diagnostic Imaging, slime-making with the Lab team, Lego building blocks presented by Human Resources, and several bounce houses. The Water Lantern Festival was held Saturday evening and raised over $700 for the Memorial Hospital Foundation Endowment.

On Sunday, more than 180 children took part in the Kids Fish for Fun event. Families participated in outdoor activities and competitions throughout the day.

Ada Bair, CEO at Memorial Hospital said: “Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and attended. Your support made this milestone celebration truly special and helped us to celebrate our theme, ‘Honoring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future.’”
