Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics are reminding patients to review their healthcare coverage options during the Medicare Open Enrollment period, which continues until December 7. The organizations note that they are not in network with all Medicare Advantage Plans but do accept a range of other insurance plans, details of which can be found on their website at MHTLC.ORG. Appointments cannot be scheduled for patients whose coverage is through out-of-network Medicare Advantage Plans.

“Choosing the right coverage can be confusing, but it’s an important decision,” said Teresa Smith, Chief Financial Officer at Memorial Hospital. “Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics want patients to have the information they need to make the best choice for their healthcare. Patients who wish to continue receiving care at Memorial are encouraged to confirm that their selected plan includes Memorial within its network before enrolling.”

Patients seeking to verify whether Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics are included in a specific Medicare Advantage Plan’s network should provide the Tax ID information of the provider when consulting with insurance companies.

While staff at Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics cannot help with making Medicare enrollment decisions, they will assist by transferring medical records if a patient chooses an out-of-network plan and needs to transition care.

The hospital accepts traditional Medicare (Parts A and B) as well as supplemental Medicare plans. Patients are encouraged to keep their coverage details up-to-date and learn more about available options by visiting MEDICARE.GOV, calling 1-800-MEDICARE, or reaching out to a State Health Insurance Assistance Program at 1-877-839-2675. Patients are also advised to ensure that any company providing insurance information is reliable.
