Jennifer Soucie, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist, has joined the Health & Wellness team at Memorial Hospital. Soucie, who is originally from Carthage, brings experience in diabetes care, nutrition coaching, weight management, and celiac disease to her new position.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition from Western Illinois University and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Arizona. Her previous work includes roles at Hinsdale Hospital and Blessing Diabetes Center.

Soucie explained her approach: “Eating for good health is about balance and including a variety of foods in your diet.” At Memorial Hospital and its clinics, she will offer personalized nutrition consultations, diabetes education, and weight management support for patients, including children five years old and above. She aims to help patients achieve their health goals through practical dietary and lifestyle advice.

Ashlyn Housewright, Executive Director of Community Health & Wellness, commented on the appointment: “We’re thrilled to have Jennifer join our Health & Wellness family. Her deep roots in this community, together with her strong background in diabetes education and nutrition counseling, make her a perfect fit for our mission to help community members lead healthier lives. Her patient-centered approach will be an asset to both our team and those we serve.”

Patients interested in scheduling an appointment or learning more about the services can visit the hospital’s Health & Wellness Center webpage.
